How to prevent a mesh from casting shadows in Blender? (Quick Blender Tutorials)

Here I have the default Blender scene with an extra cube added to it.

And let’s say, I do want to get rid of the shadows casted by the red cube. All I need to is to select the red cube, and then go to object properties section:

Lazy Loaded Image

Object properties (Make sure the object you want to get rid of the shadows of is selected).

Scroll down until you find the section called “Visibility” and within this tab, you’ll see another tab revealed which is named as “Ray Visibility”. If we tick off the shadows within the ray visibility menu, this object won’t be casting shadows in live-render preview and in our final renders anymore:

Visibility > Ray Visibility > Untick The Shadow Property

Final result:

Lazy Loaded Image

The red cube does not cast any shadows any longer.
