How to bevel vertices in Blender?

Why might you need to bevel your vertices?

Beveling vertices is especially useful when creating shapes such as pipes or cables, or in cases where you want your mesh to have smooth corners without significantly increasing subdivision levels. You can also convert your vertices into a curve, add depth under the ‘Bevel’ category, and then convert it back into a mesh to create cylindrical shapes with smooth corners to use in game engines.
