Blender Quick Tips: How to scale up or down only on two axes at the same time?

Issue: Let’s say you want to scale your object only on two axes (let’s say X and Y) but exclude the Z-axis from the scaling. How do we do that without scaling X first and then Y?

Solution: In edit mode, press the ‘S’ key as usual to scale your object. Then press “Shift + Z” to exclude the Z-axis. You can use the same logic to exclude any desired axis using this method.
