Why does “drop shadow” in Photoshop apply to all layers and how to fix it?(Quick Photoshop Tutorials)

Problem: When you use the drop shadow feature on one of your layers, you see that Photoshop applies it to all other layers. This is due to Photoshop using a global light to enlighten the whole document.

Fix: Within the “Drop Shadow” properties, de-activate the “Use Global Light” feature.
